hour Introductory Course in Shiatsu Therapy
This course is for the general public and is a Professional Development
and Skill Upgrading Program authorized for 6 continuing education units
for RMT(s) by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. This course
is not offereing vocational training in shiatsu therapy. This course will
be taught in two parts. Participants will have a chance to practice techniques
in between classes.
This course will
include a brief history
of shiatsu,
benefits, characteristics, principles and contraindications.
The emphasis, however, will be on hands-on practical techniques.
The Shiatsu Academy of Tokyo is registered as a Private Career College
under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. This program does
not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.
